Exercise 29
In high school, I signed a petition to keep our graduation ceremony at our high school rather than at Robert's Stadium. Personally, I chose to sign the petition because having our graduation ceremony at our high school is a tradition. It wouldn't be right to plan all of the high school graduations in Evansville at Robert's Stadium, just so that the superintendent can make it to every schools graduation. Although our class did not suffer any consequences for issuing this petition to the EVSC, we were able to keep our graduation at our high school. Personally, although our petition worked, I feel like our graduating class could have been more active when attempting to keep our graduation at "home". A petition is effective sometimes, however, there are a few situations that call for more drastic measures.
